Happy New Year!

We arrived at our lovely Airbnb in Auckland in time to ring in 2025. Our host was super lovely and the little studio we have is charming. It is a great place next to the Sky Tower and so we were able to enjoy the countdown and the fireworks for the new year before the rest of the world. We flew over on Hawaiian Airlines and highly recommend this airline. The service was amazing and we enjoyed both legs of our flight.

Today we walked (tramped) a bunch around the waterfront and enjoyed some really delicious food. People are so very friendly here and we have met people from the states and other countries as well. We found a public swimming area, a little book exchange with places to sit and read, a fun fish market and delicious Hokey Pokey Ice Cream. Our day ended with some yummy Indian food and we are headed to bed to get rested for our Coast to Coast walk tomorrow. We hope that you are all well and having fun ringing in the new year!
